REQUEST FOR INFORMATION
PROJECT E65 SIPHON
Central Nebraska Public Power and Irrigation District, hereby referred to as “Central” is issuing this Request for Information (RFI) for the purpose of gathering information on the previous history and experience of projects consisting of 78-inch or larger diameter pipe installation.
Central seeks information from contractors related to experience installing either or both steel pipe or HDPE pipe. Central’s intent is to better understand construction considerations for the installation of these pipe materials.
Central will be installing a large diameter pipe for use as a siphon estimated at 108-inch diameter that will extend approximately 5,800 feet. In addition to the pipe installation, the project will include excavation and work anticipated to require dewatering. Submitting answers to this RFI will not limit your ability to bid in the future if information provided is utilized to develop a Request for Proposal (RFP). A subsequent RFP may be issued under Neb Rev. Stat. Chapter 13-2901
