(HOLDREGE) – The Central Nebraska Public Power and Irrigation District board of Directors passed a resolution at a special meeting of the board of directors on December 20 to convey appreciation and recognition of the four outgoing members of the board.
The four outgoing directors have a combined 97 years of service, having held several elected positions while serving.
Willie Knoerzer from Gosper County served as a member of the board of directors from 1989 through 2024 and held the offices of President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasure.
K. Scott Olson, representing Kearney County, served as a member of the board from 1996 through 2024 and held the offices of Secretary and Treasurer.
Robert Dahlgren of Phelps County served as a member of the board from 2007 through 2024 and held the offices of Secretary and Treasurer.
Martin Mueller from Keith County served as a member of the board from 2007 through 2024 and held the offices of Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer.
The public in six counties elect representatives to Central’s 12-member board of directors. The board is comprised of three members of three counties – Phelps, Kearney and Gosper – and one member each from Keith, Lincoln and Dawson counties.
Four newly elected directors will take office at the first board meeting on 2025 schedule for Thursday, January 9.
